The U.S. and Japan sign a treaty to protect migratory birds (1972)

MIGRATORY BIRDS Some 1.7 million birds, 75% of the birds which appear in Japan, including wild geese, wild ducks, and swans, are migratory. Their protection must therefore be done internationally, and the U.S., China, and Russia have signed such treaties.
