THE ANTI-VIETNAM WAR MOVEMENT The anti-war movement was also active in Japan. The fact that so many people joined the movement, shouting, "Peace in Vietnam", was a show of sympathy for the many people who were suffering in the war, but it was also based on the feeling that the Japanese were aggressors against the Vietnamese people.
