| THE YEN This rate held steady until 1971, when it was set at 308, and then in February '73 the exchange markets were liberalized. The yen has now risen incredibly. In the days of 360 yen to the dollar going abroad was only a dream, but now it is not such a big deal to make a tour around the world. | |
