MILITARY CONSCRIPTION The scene of students parading in the rain as they prepared to be sent to war is quite a contrast to the fact that Japan is one of the few countries where youngsters have not gone to war during the late 20th century. This is in spite of the fact that many of their contemporaries throughout the world are drafted to kill each other in battlefields. |
